| Dolores E. Zeigler, age 79, of Chalk Hill, Pa. passed away suddenly on Friday, September 5, 2008 as the result of an automobile accident. She was born July 27, 1929 in Connellsville, Pa., daughter of Paul Keightley and Esther Seybold Keightley. Dolores was a member of the Chalk Hill United Methodist Church. After graduating from Slippery Rock University, she was a much-loved and respected teacher for over 30 years in the Laurel Highlands School district. After retirement, she volunteered at Albert Gallatin Home Nursing. In addition to her parents, she was predecessed by her beloved husband, Fred F. Zeigler Jr., and a son, Robert P. Zeigler. Surviving are her children: Karen L. Powell, Jane E. Zeigler, Fred F. Zeigler III, Nancy L. Zeigler, William M. Zeigler, and Judy J. Unstead. She was a grandmother to 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren and had looke dforward to the impending birth of two more great-grandchildren. Dolores was the sister of Judy Sager and Roger Keightley. The family will receive friends in the Donald R. Crawford Funeral Home, Hopwood, Pa. with the Rev. David Herring officiating. Internment will follow in the Christ Lutheran Cemetery, Chalk Hill, Pa. |
